- 1925Museum foundation
The museum of Kyrgyzstan was founded on 9 December.
- 1927First visitors
The museum opened its first exhibition to visitors on 5 March.
- 1954History museum
The museum was named the State Historical Museum.
- 1991Building handover
The building of a branch of the Central Lenin Museum was handed over to the museum.
- 2016Renovation
Renovation of the museum building began.
- 2021Reopening and status
The museum was granted national status. It reopened to visitors on 20 November.
