Traveller’s question
Karakol off season: what to do from October to April
From November to April, most summer high-mountain trails are usually inaccessible. Assess each route separately for snow, avalanche conditions, weather and operator decisions. Five ideas for the cold season: the town and rocks are accessible all year round, while museum, mosque and pool opening hours and transport must be checked for your travel date for each site separately. For the 2026/27 season, the ski resort advertises 18 November 2026 to 31 March 2027; check the actual opening and lift operations for your travel date.
