Getting to the base
From Cholpon-Ata, drive to Kozhoyar-Ata village, labelled Semenovka on older maps, then follow the road into Kyrchyn Gorge. Allow about 40 km to the gorge area. Agree the destination, waiting time and return trip with the driver in advance; check upper road conditions for your date.
